Marbled epoxy floor carried all the way through, interior painted out in charcoal, hexagon lighting grid, custom cabinets, new counter and window, and the back bathroom remodeled top to bottom. Kitchen Remodel in Visalia, CA

The homeowners called us out to a Visalia kitchen that had not been touched in a very long time. Cream cabinets, a square tile floor gone dull, a fluorescent box light overhead, and a narrow peninsula cutting the room in half. The dining side next to it was still wrapped in dark wood paneling. Nothing in the room was failing. It just did not match the rest of the house. Our scope was everything: pull the flooring, the cabinets, the countertops, and the peninsula, take out the wall oven so it could go back in at the end, and rebuild the room around a better layout.
Once the space was empty we took the drywall off so we could see the framing, the wiring, and the supply and drain lines. That step is not optional in a kitchen this age. You cannot move a sink or an island responsibly until you know what is behind the wall. From there we rerouted the electrical for the new appliance and lighting locations and moved the plumbing over to serve the new sink wall. We also shifted the island and made it larger. That single move is what opened the room up, because the old peninsula had been forcing everyone into a narrow lane between the counter and the wall.
Then we built it back. New granite ran across the perimeter and the new island with a new hood. White subway tile backsplash. A farmhouse style stainless sink went in under the window, and a new gas cooktop dropped into the island with a hood above it, which is why the electrical and venting work earlier in the job mattered. New dishwasher, new refrigerator, and the wall oven we pulled at the start went back into the finished cabinetry. Wide plank wood-look flooring runs through the kitchen and continues into the old paneled dining area, so the two rooms finally read as one space instead of two.
