After 14 years as “the tile guys,” here’s why we’re now a full-service general contractor, what our three divisions mean, and why the name on the truck isn’t changing.

If you’ve known us as the tile guys, this is the part where I tell you we’re a little more than that now. Stay with me, because the short version is good news for you.

Fourteen years ago I started Cali Tile here in the Central Valley with one trade and one promise: do the work right, and let the work earn the next job. That’s how we grew, one handshake at a time, mostly on word of mouth. No big ad budget. Just floors and showers and backsplashes that held up, and customers who told their neighbors.

Here’s what happened along the way. The same people who hired us for tile started asking, “Can you do the whole bathroom?” Then, “Can you do the kitchen?” Then, “Can you build the addition?” So we learned, we got better, and we earned a full Class B general contractor’s license to stand behind all of it, not just the tile.

Then came the calls I didn’t see coming. A burst pipe at midnight. A kitchen fire. A roof torn open by a storm. Families who trusted us with their remodels now needed us on their worst day. So we built out insurance restoration, and we learned to work directly with insurance companies so the rebuild is one less thing for you to carry.

Today all of that lives under one family business, organized into three divisions:

Cali Tile is where we started: tile, flooring, full-service remodeling, and insurance restoration.
Cali Built is our general contracting side: new construction, ADUs, and ground-up builds.
Cali Roofing is roofing done right: new roofs, replacements, and storm and insurance roof restoration.

Three divisions, one crew, one standard. The point isn’t to look bigger. It’s so that whatever’s in front of you, a remodel you’ve been putting off, a new build, a roof, or a flood you’re still cleaning up, you’ve got one licensed company you already trust handling the whole thing.

A lot of folks ask why we keep the name Cali Tile if we do so much more. Easy answer: because you trust it. Fourteen years of your referrals built that name, and I’m not about to throw away the thing you all built with me. The name stays. What’s behind it just got a lot bigger.

Cali Tile creció: ahora somos tu contratista general en el Valle Central

Después de 14 años como Cali Tile, hoy te explico por qué ahora somos un contratista general de servicio completo, y qué significan nuestras tres divisiones.

Si nos conocías como “Cali Tile” los que ponene pisos, esta es la parte donde te cuento que ya somos un poco más que eso.

Hace catorce años empecé Cali Tile aquí en el Valle Central con un solo oficio y una promesa: hacer el trabajo bien. Así crecimos, un saludo a la vez, casi todo de recomendaciones. Sin grandes anuncios. Solo pisos, regaderas y salpicaderos que aguantaron, y clientes que le contaron a sus vecinos.

Esto fue lo que pasó en el camino. La misma gente que nos contrataba para azulejo empezó a preguntar: “¿Pueden hacer todo el baño?” Luego: “¿Pueden hacer la cocina?” Luego: “¿Pueden construir la ampliación?” Así que aprendimos, mejoramos y nos ganamos una licencia completa Clase B de contratista general para responder por todo, no solo por el azulejo.

No cambiamos quiénes somos. Solo seguimos diciendo que sí al siguiente trabajo.

Luego llegaron las llamadas que no veía venir. Una tubería rota a medianoche. Un incendio de cocina. Un techo abierto por una tormenta. Familias que nos confiaron sus remodelaciones ahora nos necesitaban en su peor día. Así que construimos la restauración de seguros, y aprendimos a trabajar directo con las aseguradoras para que la reconstrucción sea una cosa menos que cargar.

Hoy todo eso vive bajo un negocio familiar, organizado en tres divisiones:

Cali Tile es donde empezamos: azulejo, pisos, remodelación de servicio completo, contratación general y restauración de seguros.

Cali Built es nuestro lado de: construcción nueva, ADUs y obras desde cero.

Cali Roofing es techado bien hecho: techos nuevos, reemplazos y restauración de techo por tormenta y seguros.

Tres divisiones, un equipo, un estándar. La idea no es vernos más grandes. Es que sea lo que sea lo que tienes enfrente, una remodelación que has pospuesto, una obra nueva, un techo o una inundación que aún estás limpiando, tengas una empresa con licencia en la que ya confías encargándose de todo.

Mucha gente pregunta por qué mantenemos el nombre Cali Tile si hacemos mucho más. Respuesta fácil: porque confías en él. Catorce años de tus referencias construyeron ese nombre, y no voy a tirar lo que todos ustedes construyeron conmigo. El nombre se queda. Lo que hay detrás solo se hizo mucho más grande.
